Ambre Allinckx wins her first PSA Challenger Title

After a Final with good Squash, Ambre overcame her opponent Celine in strait games. This win will give the rising swiss future hope a big boost in the World ranking. She played dominant the hole weekend and winning the title without dropping a game.

Celine Walser :  “I am overall quite happy with the way I played at this tournament. Ambre played very well today in the final and deserved to win, I was lacking quite a bit of energy today unfortunately. However, I am very happy to have made it to my first 10k Final. A big Thank you to Pascal for organizing this tournament.”

Ambre Allinckx : “I am very happy to have won my first PSA 10k Final. I played some good squash during the whole weekend. Congrats to Celine for reaching her first PSA Final. Big thanks to Swiss Squash for organizing this tournament.”

Strong Nici Müller wins the Title

Nici takes the title with a very sharp and strong performance. His accuracy and ball control proofed to be to much today for Swiss Nr.2 Dimitri. Not that he would surrender but today he was not strong enough to beat his friend.

Nici Müller :  I would really like to thank the Swiss/Liechstenstein Federation for putting up the tournament, It is a difficult time for all the professionals Squash players with the currant situation. I am very happy with my squash this week, played some solid squash to bring home the title. Thanks to all my personal sponsors for their outgoing support and big congrats to amber on a stellar performance winning her biggest PSA.”

Dimi Steinmann : “Always tough to play against Nici as he knows me inside-out. I played some really good squash in patches but also made many mistakes and gave away some easy points, which you simply can not do against a player of his level. He was the better player today and I take my hat off to him. Overall, I am still happy with my performance throughout the tournament and also hungry for more.”

Swiss Squash Roundup

With two good finals the Liechtenstein Open came to a good end. Held under the very strict health rules of Swiss Olympic and Swiss Squash, it was very special to run a tournament under such circumstances.

A big Thank goes to the Squash House in Vaduz and the family Maier, who have been very supportive and provide such a professional environment.

Another important helper was Daniel Bachmann, who been in contact with PSA Live TV. It was a great honour for us that most of the matches were streamed live to give the players the opportunity to show their quality.

Swiss Squash is very happy about the professionalism of our players and the quality they provided during that weekend. It is a joy to watch how they presented themselves and took advantage of the chance to show their ability.
