Top seeded Mexican Jesus Camacho beat face fourth seeded South African Tristan Eysele to take the title in Calgary …
Camacho trailed throughout the first game before eventually tying the score at 8-8. Eysele was eager to maintain a rapid pace of play during the rallies that consisted of mostly length shots. The first game ended with unforced errors from Eysele, just clipping the top of the tin on a couple of drop shots.
The second and third games were dictated by Camacho – it appeared Eysele was showing signs of fatigue following his tough 70 minute semifinal encounter with Lyell Fuller.
Camacho was keen to force the play into all four corners which ultimately led to more untimely errors at the front of the court by Eysele.
