FINALS

Top seed Jana Shiha took the women’s title at the El Shams Club in Cairo as she beat world junior team-mate Sana Ibrahim in straight games in the women’s final.

World Junior runner-up Moustafa El Sirty collected the men’s title as he beat Khalid Labib 3-0 in the men’s final.

It was a goodday for the women’s top seeds at the El Shams Club in Cairo as the finalists were decided.

Top seed Jana Shihah duly made it through to the final, and will mee second seed Sana Ibrahim who won in four tough games against Nour Aboulmakarim.

The men’s top seed Omar Elkattan was beaten in four games by fourth seed Khaled Labib, while world junior runner-up Moustafa El Sirty ended the run of wildcard Mohamed Nasser to reach the final.

Day TWO

Plenty of upsets in round two, but the top two seeds in each draw are through to the quarter-finals.

Day ONE

A number of minor upsets as six of the men’s and three of the women’s 9/16 seeds were beaten, with the winners going through to meet the seeded players in round two, Mexico’s Carlos Vargas being the only non-Egyptian winner of the day and the only non-Egyptian left in either draw!

The CIB Egyptian Tour 2019/20 kicks off at El Shams Club in Cairo with men’s and women’s $6k events.

Top men’s seed is Omar Elkattan, with Shady El Sherbini seeded to meet him in the final and world junior runner-up Moustafa El Sirty seeded #5. The women’s draw is topped by world junior runner-up Jana Shiha, with fellow world junior teams champion Sana Ibrahim at #2.
