Round Two & Quarters : all seeds safely through
The top eight seeds all came through their opening matches on Day Two in Bremer. Egyptian top seed Mazen Gamal ended home hopes as he beat Valentin Rapp to set up a quarter-final with Israel’s Daniel Poleshchuk. The other match in the top half will see fourth and fifth seeds Mahesh Mangaonkar and Yannick Wilhelmi meet for a place in the last four.
In the bottom half of the draw there’s English interest in both quarters with second seed Simon Herbert meeting Czech Viktor Byrtus and James Peach meeting third seeded Egyptian Yassin Elshafei.
