England’s James overcame third seed Balazs Farkas in a five game thriller and will meet fifth seed Yannick Wilhelmi in the title decider after the Swiss ended the run of unseeded Sam Oborne-Wyle in straight games.
Ward eased past Hong Kong’s Kirstie Po in straight games and now meets Egypt’s Jana Safy, who took out the last remaining home player Sofi Zrazhevska in five games.

Men’s top seed Declan James and third seed Balazs Farkas won in straight games to set up a semi-final encounter, but the upsets continued in the top half of the men’s draw as fifth seeded Swiss Yannick Wilhelmi ousted second seed Patrick Rooney in five games while unseeded Sam Osborn-Wylde shocked fourth seed George Parker in straight games.
In the women’s draw top seeded South African Hayley Ward won through to a semi-final against Hong Kong’s sixth-seeded Kirstie Po, while in the top half of the draw wins for Egypt’s Jana Safy and wildcard Sofi Zrezhevska guaranteed an unseeded women’s finalist.

Day Two in Brno saw the top eight seeds enter the action. In the Men’s draw seven of the seeds progressed, with England’s Sam Osborne-Wylde producing the only upset as he beat eighth seed Muhd Asim Khan.
Six of the women’s seed also won, as Egypt’s Jana Safy beat second seeded compatriot Hana Ismail while Polish wildcard Sofi Zrazhevska edged past fifth seed Cristina Tartarone.
