Top seed Baptiste Masotti is the only Frenchman through to the last four in Lagourd after a straight-game win over Declan James. Eighth seed Ivan Yuen got the better of fellow Malaysian Syafiq Kamal to set up a meeting with Masotti.
No home joy in the bottom half of the draw as George Parker ended the run of Toufik Mekhalfi, and Greg Lobban stopped Lucas Serme, both in four games.
