The Return Of Nouran Gohar
Former World No.1 and World Champion Nouran Gohar is set for her much-anticipated return to the PSA Squash Tour this season, just a few months after giving birth to her first child.
Gohar stepped away from the tour last September after the 2025 Egyptian Open, later announcing that she and her husband Ziad Elsissy were expecting their first child.

Since giving birth in mid-April, Gohar has been captured on social media beginning to rebuild her sharpness with plenty of court time. The level she will return at, though, is the big question on everyone’s minds.
Gohar stepped back from the tour as the then-World No.1 and the player to beat on tour. Since then, Hania El Hammamy and Amina Orfi have taken over that mantle – as well as eight-time World Champion Nour ElSherbini – with this trio lifting every major title on tour last season.
Can Gohar slip back into ‘Terminator’ mode and put herself back in contention for major titles? If so, the women’s game could take on yet another fascinating element and become one of the most competitive seasons ever.
