And I had the privilege of coaching you.
Through every chapter, one thing remained constant: your mindset.
You carry the rare belief, “I can always be better. I can beat anyone, any day, if I do the work.”
That fire, resilience, and quiet confidence, it’s what made you one of the most consistent top players this sport has ever seen.
You never let anyone in your team feel unseen or unappreciated. You are of utmost emotional intelligence and loyalty; these traits can’t be taught. It’s who you are.
You always showed fairness and deep appreciation to your coaches, your team, and everyone who stood by you.
You’ve become an example for every young player out there. Not just for how to play, but how to be.
Those who got to know you are lucky. But those who worked with you are the luckiest. You set a standard that few can reach, and a legacy that will be followed.
A World Champion. A LEGEND.
Now, you move into your next steps with even more respect and success ahead because that’s just who you are.
And luckily for me, you’ll still be my next-door neighbour. So there’s no retirement for me just yet.
