Just in case you don’t know, the Howe Cup is an incredible women’s championship happening as we speak, and that for the 19th time… It’s being run at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, where everything seems to be happening!
The Howe Cup, the United States’ largest squash event for women, has a long history. The annual women’s five-person team tournament first began in 1928 as an inter-city competition between New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.
The tournament features 280 women on fifty-six teams of five players competing across four divisions A-D. The teams represent 24 different states and Washington D.C.
It’s interesting to note that there is also a Double Competition run at the same time, with 89 women playing in both the team and doubles competitions.
And the winners are….
