Kolarova and Mekbib take Czech titles

Czech national championships were played over the last four days in Prague with a glass court built in Galerie Harfa shopping mall.
The titles were won by Olga Kolářová and Daniel Mekbib.
Olga beat defending champion Anna Serme 3/1 in the semis and dominated in the final against first time finalist Eva Feřteková to claim her 5th national title.
Anna Serme won the bronze medal after she beat Michaela Cepova.
Daniel successfully defended his last year’s title to win his second. He beat Ondrej Uherka in the semis and Jakub Solnicky in the final, both with 3/1 score.
Solnicky beat Jan Koukal in the semis, ending Jans attempt to win his 19th title after three good wins over top Czech juniors Viktor Byrtus and Ondrej Vorlicek in rounds 1 and 2, and in the quarters where Jan managed to beat the top seeded Martin Svec.
Jan did not play for third place so the, bronze medal was won by Ondrej Uherka.
