Indian Tour #5 2026 Ahmedebad

Men & Women $6k PSA Challengers, 27-31 Jan, Ahmedebad, India

Egyptian duo Seif Refaay and Farida Walid were crowned HCL Squash Indian Tour 5, Ahmedabad 2026 champions after the pair claimed respective wins over Hazem Hossam and Sehveetrraa Kumar at the 6k event in India.

Despite arriving at the event in an unseeded position, World No.204 Refaay lost one game all week long as he stormed through to his first PSA Tour title – backing up his win at the British Junior Open earlier this month in impressive style.

After early round wins over Mohit Bhatt, No.7 seed Ammar Altamimi, No.2 seed Ravindu Laksiri and No.3 seed Suraj Kumar Chand, 17-year-old Refaay defeated compatriot Hazem Hossam 3-0 in the title decider.

Meanwhile, fellow Egyptian teenager Walid picked up her second PSA Tour title in as many months after coming through a back-and-forth five-game duel with top seed and home favourite Tanvi Khanna.

Although Khanna has not dropped a game coming into the final, Walid ended the hopes of a home winner thanks to an inspired comeback, eventually taking the win by a 9-11, 13-15, 11-8, 12-10, 11-5 scoreline. The title victory sees Walid climb into the top 100 in the PSA Rankings for the first time in her career.
