Women’s $6k PSA Challenger, 25-29 Nov, Maxeville, France
Zeina Zein claimed her fifth PSA Tour title, winning the Les Elles de l’Est Challenger 2025 in France.
The young Egyptian – a junior at Princeton and the reigning individual college champion – was the No.2 seed for this Challenger 6 event, but booked her spot in the final with a strong display against rising star Caroline Fouts, after seeing off Pilar Etchechoury and Ana Munos to reach the last four.
Standing between her and the title was New Zealand’s Ella Lash, who was targeting a first Tour title on foreign soil, with her only previous taste of success coming in Temuka, in June.
Each of the first two games were closely-fought but it was Zein who came out on top in both, winning the first 11-9 and the second 12-10, before running away with game three in only six minutes, clinching her second title of 2025.
