Grace : “I really managed to stick to my gameplan in the second [11-0 victory]. I was just trying to keep it really simple, not give away too many free points, because I knew she was going to run everything down.
“I haven’t ever played someone with two forehands before. I’ve seen her name and watched her in juniors. I was asking my coach which side I should serve from beforehand! It’s an impressive technique, so fair play to her.
“I had a really good summer break. I feel ready for the season and I feel ready for the season to come. Happy to get going again.”
