Semis : Mickawy and Moataz set up all-Egyptian final in Madrid
There was disappointment for the home fans in Madrid as Spanish #1 Marta Dominguez lost out do second seeded Egyptian Zeina Mickawy. The home favourite took the opening game but Mickawy struck back to take the next three.
Fourth seed Moataz came through a five game thriller to oust top seed Lucy Turmel 15-13 in the fifth.

Quarters : Dominguez gatecrashes the semi-finals in Madrid
Spanish #1 Marta Dominguez produced a second successive seeding upset as she came from a game down to beat Wales’ third seeded Emily Whitlock to reach the semi-finals in Madrid.
There were no other upsets as top seed Lucy Turmel eased past Nardine Garas in straight games, setting up a semi-final with another Egyptian, fourth seeded Hana Moataz who beat compatriot Nadine Shahin n four games.
Dominguez’s semi-final opponent will be second seeded Egyptian Zeina Mickawy, who beat compatriot Haya Ali in straight games.

Round Two : Top eight seeds through to quarters in Madrid
Day Two of the Spanish Open – the first since 1992 – saw all eight top seeds win through to the quarter-finals of the PSA Copper event at Polideportivo de La Puz in Madrid.
Spanish number one Marta Dominguez, the seventh seed, overcame experienced Englishwoman Millie Tomlinson in four games to keep home hopes alive, with the closest match of the day seeing seventh seeded Egyptian Haya Ali overcoming compatriot Rana Ismail in five see-saw games.
Dominguez now meets third seed Emily Whitlock in the quarters while Ali faces second seeded compatriot Zeina Mickawy. There are three more Egyptians in the top half of the draw with top seeded Englishwoman Lucy Turmel set to meet Nardine Garas while Hana Moataz and Nadine Shahin meet for a place in the last four.
