Semis : Top seeds through to all-Egyptian Finals in Cairo
Two Egyptian champions were assured as the top seeds triumphed in both sets of semi-finals at New Giza.
Nour Aboulmakarim downed Swiss Cindy Merlo in straight games and will face Sana Ibrahim in the final after the top seed won a competitive four-game encounter with Spain’s Marta Domingues.
Men’s top seed Mostafa Asal eased past compatriot Yahya Elnawasany in straight games, but second seed Moustafa El Sirty had to twice come from behind to dent Swiss Yannick Wilhelmi. The final will be a repeat of the pair’s 2019 World Junior Championship final.
