Early bird or now owl?
I would say I’m mostly a night owl because I find the nighttime quite relaxing and a good time to wind down, but I am good at dealing with early mornings.

A remote island: Who do you go with? And what music/film/Tv show?
I would go with my girlfriend because we would just have endless fun and laughter, we always have the best time in the simplest things we do together. So it would be like an adventure if we were to be on a remote island together. I would choose to watch Prison Break. It’s such a good series and each episode ends on a cliffhanger, so it always makes me want to watch more.

In squash, what specific area do you need to improve?
I need to improve on taking my space when I get easy balls in the middle of the court, making sure I capitalise on those opportunities. This will allow me to win more points in these positions.

What do you find the most difficult in training? And in competition?
In training and competition, I find it difficult to stop myself from getting frustrated when things go wrong, but I am working on it and managing it better.

What is your strongest point, personally and squashwise?
My strongest point, personally, I feel, is that I care about others, and I’ll always try to put others before me: that’s just how I’ve been brought up, and I think it’s the best way to be.
Squashwise, I’m good at taking the pace off the ball when under pressure, which allows me to get into winning positions.

Anything you think people might need to know about you/about your family?
That we’re all open to taking any advice and help that other people give because we will always try to use it. Also, we all like to help and support others in the best way we can if they need it.

How pivotal/crucial/heartbreaking/strength-giver was the departure of your little brother in your life?
It was very heartbreaking. It still is now.
There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about Sumner. It makes me realise how lucky I am to be here. The passing of my brother certainly gives me a lot of strength and determination in everything I do because Sumner never ever gave up, even when he was struggling the most.
