Semi-Finals : The JESSICA Company Hong Kong Junior Squash Open 2026 Finals Await Tomorrow
The JESSICA Company Hong Kong Junior Squash Open 2026 completed all semi-finals today, with the final line-ups now confirmed.
In the Girls’ Under-19 category, defending champion and top seed Tang Helen defeated 3/4 seed Kwong Ena 3-0 (11-9, 11-9, 12-10), standing just one step away from retaining her title. Second seed Cheung Tsz Ching beat 3/4 seed Chung Yee Ling Elaine 3-1. Tomorrow’s final will feature an all-Hong Kong showdown, the same as the Boys’ Under-9 final.
The Boys’ Under-19 event was equally exciting. Top seed Mohammed Alnasfan (KSA) and second seed Wong Long Hin Larry (HKG) both advanced with 3-1 victories over players from USA and Malaysia. Tomorrow they will meet in the final, just like the top two seeds in the Boys’ Under-15, Under-11 and Under-9 categories, as well as the Girls’ Under-13 and Under-9 categories.
There were also some surprise results. In the Boys’ Under-17 category, top seed Singh Rehaan (SGP) was defeated 0-3 by 3/4 seed Arif Muhammad Umair (PAK). He joins Girls’ Under-17 top seed Lo Pui Yin Chloe (HKG) and second seed Singh Naisha (SGP) in being eliminated in the semi-finals.
Tomorrow is Finals Day. The Squash Association of Hong Kong, China will continue to livestream all matches on the Centre court at the Hong Kong Squash Centre via Facebook and YouTube. Exciting action awaits – don’t miss it!
