Hong Kong Nationals : It’s Lee and Lau

The 2025 Hong Kong Nationals concluded at Hong Kong Squash Centre with triumphs for Alex Lau and Lee Ka Yi.

The Women’s Final was a rematch of last year’s showdown, featuring top seed Tomato Ho against second seed Lee Ka Yi. Lee took the first game 11-9 to lead, but Ho levelled the score with an 11-9 win in the second. Lee then adjusted her strategy, dominating the third game 11-1 and clinching the title with an 11-9 victory in the fourth, reclaiming the crown after her 2023 triumph.

In the Men’s final, top seed Alex Lau faced off second seed Henry Leung. Despite a slow start, Lau rallied to win straight games, joining Lee  in recapturing the championship title after a year’s hiatus.

In the 3/4 Playoffs, Women’s 5/8 seed Chan Sin Yuk defeated 3/4 seed Tong Tsz Wing in straight games 11-4, 11-7, 11-3, while the Men’s 3/4 seed Wong Chi Him defeated 5/8 seed Chung Yat Long Leo in four games 6-11, 12-10, 11-5, 11-) to secure third place.

The Prize Presentation Ceremony was held after the Men’s Final. With the Honourable Duncan Chiu, Chairman of the Squash Association of Hong Kong, China presented the prizes to all the Women’s and Men’s winners.
