St George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club in Surrey are recruiting for an Assistant Squash Professional (10 Hours)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The Assistant Squash Professional will play a vital role in developing and promoting squash participation at St George’s Hill.
The position combines coaching and administration, with the primary objective of increasing junior participation engaging members who do not currently play squash; encouraging them to participate through structured programmes, events, and social initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, personable, and highly organised, with a genuine passion for
growing the sport and fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment for players of all levels.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement initiatives to attract new squash players and re-engage inactive members.
- Establish a clear junior pathway from beginners to national level.
- Deliver engaging group sessions for beginners, juniors and social players.
- Run “intro to squash/racketball” courses.Develop structured school outreach programmes.
- Maintain up to date records of squash participation numbers and member engagement.
- Manage all administration related to junior pathway, schools outreach and member participation.
- Manage relationship between St George’s Hill Club and partner charity Squash Squared.

- Strong time management, planning and organisation

Qualifications
- England Squash fully qualified and licenced Level 3 coach, although Level 2 candidates will be considered, dependent on their experience
- Hold a valid DBS, First Aid and Safeguarding certificate
Experience
- Previous experience of working in a club and coaching environment
- Previous experience in a squash administrative, coaching or competition role
- Confident using communication and social channels (WhatsApp/Instagram)
