KL Junior Open 2026

Sunday, Finals Day :

Finals day at the Touch n go STAFT KL junior open 2026 saw some absolutely great finals.

Altamis defended his title from last year this time beat Aqil Mirza in the final in four games.

Whitney Isabelle Wilson needed four games to see off a strong challenge from Jinoreeka Ning to claim the girls under 19s final.

Ooi Wen Min and Jean played a see saw five game match which eventually Jean won.

Vidhurran Ruthiran won the boys under 15s title beating Julius Tan in the final.

In the Girls under 15s final Mahnoor Ali beat Maisara in four games.

Zoe Makaryous from Qatar won the girls under 11s final with Singapore’s Kareena Sashikumar winning the girls under 13s.

A great event and a great week of squash.

Saturday, Semi-Finals :

Semi finals day at the Touch N Go SRAFT KL junior open 2026 saw some unbelievable semi finals.

The boys under 13s semi final between number one seed Mohd Sharhan and Ngo San Leung went all the way with the last two set sets both going to a tie break and both going the way of Leung.

In the boys under 19s Ivan Chang managed to save match balls in the fourth, in one of the rallies he picked up two shots I never thought he could get back to survive but Altamis started the fifth game better before Ivan came back. Altamis just held on to win 11-8 in the fifth.

In the girls under 15s Maisarah did well to beat Pakistani Ali Sehrish in four games. In the other semi final another Pakistani Ali Mahnoor beat second seed Jacintha Han in five games.

Friday, Quarter-Finals Day :

Quarter finals day at the Touch n Go SRAFT KL junior open saw three number one seeds beaten.

Top seed in the girls under 11 Liu Yang was beaten by Meera Ruthiran in four games.
In the girls under 13s number one seed Yang Sihan was beaten by Nuie Chew in four games.
The last number one seed to be eliminated was Arman Ashraff in three games by Julius Tan.

All semi final matches are tomorrow and there looks to be plenty of tough matches.

Thursday, Day Three

Day three of the touch n go SRAFT KL junior open sees every player now having played a match.

Day three saw all the top 8 seeds in nearly every single draw progress to the quarter finals.

There was a major upset in the boys under 19s where Izz Nabil lost to Keshvan in three games.

As we move to the business end of the competition, as tomorrow is quarter finals days.

Wednesday, Day TWO

Day two of the touch n go SRAFT KL junior open got under way with now every age group being active.

Day two saw some really close matches in the younger age groups especially the boys 13s which seems to be competitive.

Thailands Poonsiri Pichpisuth beat 5/8 seed Jack Zhou in five tight games to advance to the last 16.

Tuesday, Day ONE

Day one of the touch n go STAFT KL junior open got under way with players travelling from most parts of Asia, some from Europe and a few from the United States of America. Most of the younger age groups with much bigger draws kicked off the day and although there weren’t many upsets there was plenty of excitement.

With more age groups joining in tomorrow it should be another eagerly anticipated day.

Matches kick off nice and early at 8.30am tomorrow morning at the national squash centre Jalan duta and the ACE university Malaya courts.

The Touch ‘n Go Group SRAFT KL junior Open 2026 is back in Kuala Lumpur next week.

Having upgraded to a Gold event, this has seen an increase in numbers for the event. 722 players from 17 countries will compete for the 12 trophies on offer in all the age groups from Under 9s all the way to under 19s.

National champions Aqil Mirza and Whitney Isabelle Wilson will top the seeding’s in the under 19s event but will face some tough competition from Altamis and Jinoreeka Ning if they want to take the titles.

There will be two venues The national squash centre in Jalan duta and the ACE University of Malaya Squash courts.
