Nantes launches crowdfunding campaign
Crowd funding for l’Open de France – formerly known as Open de Nantes – a new approach for the event, which has been breaking new ground since its inception.
The Nantes Squash Sautron Association has launched a massive crowdfunding campaign which aims at completing the budget and realising the project that the public in Nantes and in the world have been waiting for.
The goal is to collect 20,000€ in order to increase the prize money for both men and women.
This would help attract the best players in the world to the Château de Nantes : something not seen in France in an individual tournament since 2008 !
From a small Challenger tournament in 2015, the Open de France becomes this year one of the 12 biggest events on the circuit.
An extremely original and audacious format, between sport and culture/art, for an audience of neophyts and fans at the same time.
After the “Lieu Unique”, the “Cité des Congrès”, the “Nefs” then the “Théâtre Graslin” of the first four editions, the tournament takes place in the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, to make those high walls echo fierce battle yet again … a Court at the Court.
