Interesting move as Youssef Soliman was coached by Hesham El Attar, one of the most respected of coaches in Egypt – and in the world.
However, I recall an interview with Ali, in which the World Champion stated that Youssef was one of his closest friends. That move it therefore completely logical…
If it gives me the opportunity to see Ali back in the Squash Venues, I’m all for it!
“Well, Ali is like an older brother of mine, he’s like a family,” Soliman said after the match. “He’s a curious guy and wants to try different stuff, so I suggested, ‘let’s give it a go’. I feel very excited and very lucky to have him on my team right now.
“He played with me, he played against my opponents, he knows my personality, so it can’t get any better. He knows my character since I was a kid, so it’s amazing, and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m looking forward to having him in my corner this season.”
