HK Challenge Cup 2024 1st Leg

Organized by Squash Association of Hong Kong, China, the First Leg of the Hong Kong Squash PSA Challenge Cup closes the curtain this afternoon after five days at the Hong Kong Sport Institute, with our home players successfully crowned in both Men’s and Women’s.

The Women’s final was between the No.1 seed Cheng Nga Ching Sara and her compatriot, No.3 seed Tse Yee Lam Toby. Sara took the opening game by 11-5, however Toby returned by winning the second game by 11-7. The two girls were tied in the following two games, Toby eventually claimed her first PSA 6K title with a 11-9 victory in the final game.

The Men’s final was also featured two home players, with No.1 seed Tang Ming Hong played against the No.3 seed Wong Chi Him. Tang Ming Hong took the first two games by 11-9 and 11-7, but Wong Chi Him fought back to win by 11-5, 11-5 and 11-3.

The prize presentation ceremony was followed to held after the Men’s final, with the Honorable Duncan Chiu, Chairman of Squash Association of Hong Kong, China presented the trophies to all the winners.

The Second Leg of the tournament will be held from Jan 30 to Feb 3 at the Hong Kong Sport Institute. See you soon!
