I had the very good fortune to be sat next to Malcolm for the Commonwealth Games Final between James and Nick in Glasgow. I’d never met him and didn’t dare introduce myself or speak but it didn’t take him long to initiate conversation- so down to earth. He ended up inviting me to Pontefract ‘for a hit anytime’ and gave me his mobile number.
Although he was completely squash mad, what mattered more to him was playing in the right way. James personifies that…
