Finals : Orfi and Zakaria retain the titles

Egypt’s Amina Orfi and Mohamad Zakaria were re-crowned the 2025 World Squash Junior Champions after scoring crushing wins over compatriots Nadien Elhammamy and Marwan Asal at Black Ball Sporting Club in Cairo.

The duo have dominated the junior squash circuit in recent years, with Orfi’s win today making her the first player ever to win the world juniors four times and Zakaria comfortably following up his win last year in Houston when he became the youngest ever male champion at age 16.

The World Squash Junior Championships bring together the world’s best squash talents aged under 19, with the men’s and women’s individual championships taking place from July 21-26, followed by

The team championships run from July 27 -01 August.

Day Five : Elhammamy ousts Singh as Egyptians dominate semis

Egypt have locked down the finals of the 2025 World Squash Junior Champs after an intense semi-finals day in which Nadien Elhammamy upset second seed Anahat Singh of India to join compatriots Amina Orfi, Mohamad Zakaria and Marwan Asal in tomorrow’s title matches at Black Ball Sporting Club, Cairo.

Day Four : Singh joins seven Egyptians in the semis

Anahat Singh became the first Indian woman to reach the semi-finals of the World Squash Junior Championships for 15 years while hosts Egypt swept all else before them in an action-packed quarter-finals day at Black Ball Sporting Club, Cairo.

Day Three : Quarter-Finalists Decided in Cairo

There were significant upsets in both draws on the third day of play at the Black Ball Club in Cairo, as  Egypt’s Ahmed Roshdy took out men’s second seed Joo Young Na in five games, while Hong Kong’s Tsz Ching Cheung  stunned women’s 3/4 seed Jana Galal, also in five games.

That win for Roshdy, alongside victories for top seed Mohamad Zakaria, 3/4 seeds Marwan Asal and Eiad Daoud, and 9/16 seeds Adam Hawal and Seif Refaay, meant Egypt became the first nation to have six representatives in the quarter-finals of the men’s event. The two non-Egyptians in tomorrow’s men’s quarter-finals will be Colombian 5/8 seed Juan Irisarri and USA’s 5/8 seed Christian Capella.

Elsewhere in the women’s draw matches went to seeding with Egypt’s Amina Orfi, Nadien Elhammamy and Malika Elkaraksy, India’s Anahat Singh and France’s Lauren Baltayan all booking their places in the last eight.

Day Two : Alnasfan and Silva in firsts for Saudi and Colombia as last sixteens are decided

Mohammed Alnasfan and Laura Silva became the first players from Saudi Arabia and Brazil to reach the World Junior Last Sixteens on Day Two at the Black Ball Club,

Alnasfan notched up two five game wins, the second against England’s Dylan Roberts while 9/16 seed Silva came back to oust another English player in Emily Coulcher-Porter.

Elsewhere it was a good day for the top seeds as the top eight progressed in the women’s draw and seven of the top eight in the men’s.

Hosts Egypt continued to press on through the event, with their only casualty being Talia Zakaria, who went down to compatriot and defending champion Amina Orfi in a one-sided contest.
