The annual ESF Division Three European Team Championships take place from 15th to 18th April in Luxembourg.
There are 18 nations competing, with the finalists of the men’s and women’s events earning promotion to Division Two.
Men’s top seeds Italy were relegated last year in Wroclaw and will be seeking an immediate return to the second tier. Romania will also be seeking to bounce back at the first attempt. Austria are top seeds in the women’s event following Norway’s withdrawal. Malta, with sisters Colette and Lijana Sultana in their line-up, will also be among the favourites.
The men’s event features four pools with the top two in each advancing to the quarter-finals, while the women’s event is a seven-nation round robin.
